Otter Can Read Helps Your Child Learn Reading

Our program makes learning to read a joyful adventure for children below 8 years old! It is fun, engaging, and helps build confidence — no wonder thousands of parents love it.
Children get to explore phonics, math, science, reading, and new words, all in one place.
We Make Reading Consistent, Daily and Affordable

Most children’s learn-to-read programs are expensive and only held once a week. Weekly sessions don’t provide enough practice for young learners. Our expertly crafted video lessons make learning fun, effective, and budget-friendly — and kids can practice reading daily at their own pace !
Children don’t just practice reading at their own pace — they get to read and reread their favourite stories over and over again! Repetition might sound simple and monotonous, but it’s one of the most powerful ways for kids to learn, build confidence, and make knowledge stick for life.

About The Founder & The Team
The founder of Otter Can Read is, first and foremost, a caring Singaporean parent. His daughter has dyslexia, a learning difficulty that makes reading, spelling, and remembering things — like math calculations or word spellings — very challenging. She often forgets what she just learned, which means she needs a lot of repetition and practice.
Seeing this, he devoted his time to helping her. He would sit with her, patiently guiding her through lessons again and again. But he realised something important: his daughter needed a way to revisit and relearn at her own pace, anytime she wanted.
That’s when the idea for Otter Can Read was born—an app that lets children read and reread, learn and relearn, until knowledge truly sticks. Over time, after seeing many children benefit from the program, the team realised something important: repetition isn’t just for children with learning difficulties — it’s valuable for all kids. With consistent practice, every child can build confidence, strengthen memory, master new skills, and eventually learn to read — paving the way for success in life.
